Your talents as a manager determine to a significant degree your natural leadership style. Only when you are aware of your natural leadership style are you able to act autonomously. Acting autonomously means that the leader can transcend him- or herself and can adapt his or her behaviour to the situation, even when this goes against the natural reflexes. Directing oneself is in this way is an expression of the ultimate ingenuity of the human brain in comparison with the instinctive animal brain.
